Travel air purifier, anyone? You think its funny that there is even such as thing as travel air purifier. That it is too strange for a traveler to bring such as thing. You might even think that air purifiers are only meant for used in controlled environment such as office or residential homes. Including it among your travel kits seems laughable–but yes many travelers use this. You might be amazed on the technology involved in such gadgets.

Right off the bat let me just say that those little travel air purifiers that you wear around your neck are probably not going to help you a whole lot when you travel. I can certainly understand the desire to have a travel air purifier with you especially if you are confined on an airplane where you cannot open the windows. But a tiny air purifier around your neck is going to have its challenges in keeping the air around you purified before you breathe it. Ask your doctor what is the best way to protect yourself from airborne bacteria when flying on a plane and maybe invest your money in a better way to protect yourself.

Look for an air purifier that has a strap that will allow you to mount it on the back of a car seat. Consider how often you want to have to change the air filter. Some only need to be changed every few months, so if convenience is a big factor for you then you will want to look for one of those.

Other people might think that using travel air purifier is already an extreme action and might even be considered as paranoia. Ignore this thinking. You are the person most responsible for your health and this means taking extra care especially away from your home. Recent technology has made it possible for you to bring travel air purifier. It is the same as bringing your own medicine or your comfort pillow with you. It is a good investment for someone who travels a lot especially in hotels who doesn?t have air purifiers.

Test the purifier before buying it when possible to check for volume. Since you will probably be using your travel air purifier in confined spaces, you do not want it to be too loud. If you do want a purifier that plugs into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter, make sure that it can also be adapted to plug into a wall socket. That way you will be able to use it inside the car as well as out.
