<p>Wu Yi diet tea has been used for hundreds of years by men and women from China and it has helped many a Chinese keep slim.  Scientific studies have proved borne out the slimming effect of Wuyi dieters tea in hundreds of studies.  Furthermore, new studies have documented  that the effects of drinking Wu-Yi tea reverses the effects of aging, clarifies the skin and strengthens the immune system.</p>
<p>Many studies have been conducted on the effects of tea.  Notable is the recent study that has substantiated  a 2.5 greater rate of burning calories than that of drinking just green tea. This study was conducted in Japan at The Tokushima School of Medicine where tea drinkers in Japan use WuYi Oolong tea from China as a choice drink.</p>
<p>You can spice up your  marvelous tea with a slice of lemon or lime. Limes for some reason seem to keep longer in the refrigerator.  A cinnamon stick and some honey also give a nice  occasional tweak.</p>

<p>Don&#8217;t use sugar; if you possibly can, avoid it.  The average American consumes an fantastic 2-3 pounds of sugar each week. 100 year ago, average consumption was 5 pound a year.  Avoid soda, full fat milk and substitute water or tea instead.  Use a fat-free, low calorie dairy substitute in your tea or coffee.  Drink unsweetened apple juice and other fruit juices sparingly.</p>
<p>Eat five or more times a day in small quantities and refrain from eating in the evening.  Don&#8217;t eat right before you go to bed.  You want to burn the stored carbohydrates when you are sleeping not the carbohydrates in your stomach from a late night snack. <p>Sadly, emotional eating can interrupt your healthy eating and prevent you from losing weight on a consistent basis. Too often our efforts to lose weight come unstuck when we indulge in emotional eating. Using these tips and tricks can help you control your emotional eating, stay on your calories loss diet and enjoy long term weight loss.</p>
<p>Learn the difference between being truly hungry and wanting to feel better is not always easy, especially if you have eaten in response to your changing emotions over an extended time. You need to learn to recognize that true hunger comes with feeling physically fatigued and can include a grumbling stomach. Make sure that before you next eat food that will help fuel your body that you permit yourself to get really hungry as this is the only reason you should ever eat.</p>
<p>Determine what sets off your emotional eating, making note of the times and causes of these occasions and look for a pattern around this to become apparent. Do you hanker after salty fatty food when the pressure is on at work instead of those calories loss lunches you know are nutricius and much better for you? Do you head for the cookie jar at the end of the day after a drive home filled with traffic jams or do you eat lashings of gravy on mashed potatoes when the kids are a nightmare after school? </p>
<p>Understanding the causes of and times when you have an overwhelming &#8216;need&#8217; for certain foods is the answer to preventing your uncontrolled eating. When you can pinpoint these aspects of your behavior you can begin to change this by finding other ways to manage stress. Have alternative healthy foods that will satisfy you cravings for sweet and fatty salty foods on hand to eat or plan to actively do something like jogging or working out or, on a more relaxing note, playing your favorite music or asking for a back rub or head massage. </p>
<p>Cross comfort food off your shopping list as this may give you momentary comfort when things are tough, but if there is none in the pantry, you can not eat it and will learn to seek comfort in other ways. If you feel down and think escaping in front of the TV with a soda and bag of buttery popcorn is the best way to recover, will you drive to the nearest supermarket to buy this comfort food?  Probably not, if you are like most people who search for an alternative food at home rather than go out to buy what they would like to indulge in.</p>
<p>Seek comfort in things other than food so that if you feel miserable or pressured you head outside for a walk with your partner or some games in the park with your family or friends. It would be nice if you could just wave a wand and not have anymore unhealthy food cravings but that is not realistic so have a list of alternatives to eating a greasy hamburger and include in these relaxing with a glossy mag that you love, a long hot bath or a pedicure- whatever it is that you really enjoy.  Make a list of these alternatives and be ready to act on them instead of eating.</p>
<p>Fill your cupboards with healthy foods because these will replace the comfort food from which you are starting to wean yourself. If you replace those high carb and high sugar foods with healthy calories loss foods you will have fewer cravings so do not keep any junk food in the house. When you feel desperately in need of something sweet, instead of filling up on chocolate or fudge, recognize the craving you are experiencing and test out better alternatives that will not set back your weight loss program like a platter of fruit or healthy food bars. </p>
<p>Wait 30 minutes and when a craving does hit, wait it out by setting a timer, looking at your watch, whatever you need to do. But wait a full 30 minutes before acting on that craving. If you still are craving that food after 30 minutes, allow yourself to have a half portion of it, but you will find that usually after 30 minutes that craving will disappear. </p>
<p>Do something active instead of eating as this does not just use calories, to help with your calorie loss, it also causes your brain to secret endorphins and serotonin and these lift your spirits. So the next time you reach for a pizza to feel better, grab your sneakers and go for a walk, or a bike ride, or a run to help with your weight loss and to make you feel better. Even just a quick mile walk can really change your mood and when you get back you will feel as good as you would feel if you had just eaten 4 slices of pizza.</p>

<p>Ok, so you want to get huge and you get into the gym, pound weights till you have a big red head. And you maybe think that&#8217;s all you have to do, pump the weights, if only it was that simple.</p>
<p>Nutrition plays a very large part of recovery and growth. Bodybuilding diets are constantly changing due to the increase of your muscle mass, if you put muscle on you have to eat more, if you lose muscle you need to eat less. So how do you keep an eye on what is happening inside the body?</p>
<p>Watching your weight daily is important if you are trying to increase your mass. If your weight is going down or staying the same, you may need to consider eating more. If you find yourself gaining a lot of weight you need to take a closer look at what you&#8217;re eating. Be careful, while you can expect to gain fat while attempting to gain muscle, you should keep an eye on it to ensure you don&#8217;t gain too much fat.</p>
<p>Fat calipers are another great way to determine if you are building muscle or fat. When you use calipers every two weeks, you can see what precisely is going on, for example if you see your muscle going down from not eating, the calipers will reveal that you should eat more. Eat less if the calipers show that your body fat percentage is increasing.</p>
<p>Every good gym will have a set of calipers and assuming it is the same person doing the measurments each time you will get a honest reading as for what is going on. After you have figured out the amount of millimeters and your bodyweights, it is then that the chart which comes with calipers will determine what bodyfat percentage you are.</p>
<p>If you take your bodyweight in pounds and times it by the bodyfat percentage then that will come out with your total bodyfat. Then take this figure from the total bodyweight and that will give you a figure for your fat free mass. The figure is not all muscle but includes internal organs, bones, etc, but just use the figure as muscle for our calculations.</p>
<p>You should record and keep the figures you calculated for total body fat and for fat free mass. When you have your measurements taken you can check to see if the percentage of bodyfat has increased. If you do the correct exercise and eat correctly then your body fat will go down. And with the decrease of body fat, you will find that your muscles and fat free mass will go up. If you are not eating correctly you will discover that your fat free mass, muscle is decreasing and the bodyfat is increasing.</p>

Most kids would rather go through a drive-thru to get a tasty, fat-loaded burger that is high in calories, but low in vitamins and minerals. Most kid do not want broccoli, they want chicken nuggets and milk shakes. </p>
<p>There is a place for everything, and that includes food. Your child should have a healthy balance of foods like fruits and vegetables. How can you incorporate them into your child&#8217;s diet?</p>

A fruit salad is an easy way to get kids to eat fruit and it can be a fun way to prepare fruit together. You can cut the fruit into shapes or sprinkle cinnamon or use non-fat whipped cream to help entice children to eat fruit. You can do the same thing with vegetables.</p>

<p>Start off by reminding yourself why you were previously active, what your motivations were and what you got out of it. Team up with neighbors to form a family walking club.</p>
<p>The gym routine can be done to gauge your level of fitness, including mental resolve when it comes to pushing hard. But a warm up before anything is a must. Isn&#8217;t it? Stretch your arms and legs, jog a little and develop a sense of warmth. The goal here is to raise your core body temperature. </p>
<p>It is good to include some aerobic workouts in the mix, low intensity exercise can actually strengthen the body as well. Walking, swimming and cycling- are all great ways to do this. Set a pair of 5- to 12-pound dumbbells (depending on your strength and experience) near a treadmill. Warm up on the machine with a five-minute brisk walk. After that, Take the dumbbells and perform 20 lateral lifts.</p>

<p>This diet has been all over the television. There is even one spokeswoman who says that she has lost weight twice with the program. People have lost as few as thirty-five pounds and as much as 125 pounds with the program.</p>
<p>In the beginning Nutrisystem was sold only to women.  Nowadays, they have diet plans for men, women, and seniors.  As a matter of fact they even have a plan for vegetarians and diabetics.</p>
<p>The Nutrisystem Diet is based on the glycemic index and uses this system to help people lose weight.  High glycemic index foods cause a spike in insulin production, which causes you to be more hungry after consuming these types of food.  Low glycemic foods do not cause an insulin spike are digested, in general, more slowly and are more satisfying.</p>
<p>Nutrisystem is a food delivery plan.  This means food is delivered to your doorstep every 4 weeks.  The food is packaged so as to not require refrigeration.  And each dish comes with easy to follow preparation instructions.</p>
<p>The food is proportioned to provide nutrients and low glycemic index foods. These &#8220;good carbs&#8221; cause rapid weight loss with very little effort. According to the commercials, those who use the plan say that the weight literally melted off of them.</p>
<p>The Nutrisystem Plan encourages participants to eat low fat milk, dairy, salads, and fruits to each prepackaged meal.  The plan focuses on eliminating the bad carbs that most people gorge on everyday.  This diet realizes that protein is protein but the primary reason people gain weight is because they overeat bad carbohydrates that are high glycemic foods.  Processed carbs spike insulin in the blood while carbs derived from whole grains help stabilize insulin.</p>
<p>While the Nutrisystem Diet is designed to work without exercise, adding an exercise routine will only improve your results.  Even adding a short walk, swim, run, or weight lifting routine to your health plan will yield astounding results when combined with the Nutrisystem Diet.</p>
<p>One criticism of the Nutrisystem Diet is that it is too expensive.   However, most people do not realize just how much they spend on food.  The Nutrisystem Diet completely replaces all of your meals and the costs associated therewith. Knowing your body and how it works will let you pick from many diet to market the best one for you.  Below I&#8217;ve described some of the more popular weight-loss programs and and provided links to some new promising ones. </p>
<p>1.  Jenny Craig.  This diet needs no introduction its spokespeople Kirstie Alley and Valerie Bertinelli are all over the media.  We&#8217;ve seen Kirstie Alley shrink from a behemoth to merely a very large woman.  And Valerie Bertinelli has made a remarkable transformation.  This plan has one big drawback.  It is extremely expensive.  The mAonthly fee while only $20 does not hint at or reveal that the actual cost is much more.  The food is great but expensive.  On the plus side the plan matches you with  counselor with whom you can speak about your progress or lack thereof when you go in for weigh ins.</p>
<p>2. Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers has by and far been the most successful plan on the market for some time. No food is off limits. The POINTS system allows you to eat whatever you want as long as you don&#8217;t exceed the daily point value for your weight group. The literature and meetings teach members how to make better food choices so they can eat more and not feel hungry. Exercise is encouraged but it is not necessary for the program to work. Still, exercise is a vital part of our total health and you should consider adding it to any diet you partake in.</p>
<p>3. South Beach. This diet has attracted a lot of people mostly because of the idea that they can lose up to thirteen pounds in the first two weeks. The first two weeks are the most restrictive of the entire program. The idea is to reprogram the body to metabolize food. Slowly, the foods that were restricted are added back in to balance out the diet. It also helps that South Beach has gone mainstream with products like frozen meals, bars, and cereals on grocery store shelves.</p>
<p>4.  Nutrisystem.  This diet focuses on the glycemic index.  This is a rating system that describes the nature of carbohydrates.  A carbohydrate that scored highly on this index is one it releases its energy extremely quickly.  When you eat these foods causes a rush of sugar into the blood.  You get a burst of energy than you crash quickly and you are hungry again almost immediately.  the diet provides you with prepackaged food that contains exactly the correct amount of low glycemic index carbohydrates in order to provide you with a stable energy burn.  You will not experience a sugar rush, you&#8217;ll feel more satisfied, and you will not be hungry when you eat these low glycemic index prepackaged meals.  </p>

<p>Another easy way to get some good exercise is walking around the neighborhood. f you have a pet, take them with you. Walking  increase  the body&#8217;s metabolism, which continues for nearly 2-4 hours after you have ceased walking. This continued fast rate of metabolism in the body burns up fat quickly. Walking is one of the easiest   exercise you can do it anywhere and does not require any special equipment. Walking is almost the same as jogging since it can burn your fat. Walk regularly and constantly and before you even know it, you have throw some extra body fat contain in your body.</p>
<p>Walking, swimming and dancing are examples of aerobic exercise in which the goal is to increase the heart rate and breathing rate regularly. Walking lunges can be performed to increase intensity of this exercise. Be sure to maintain proper posture.</p>
<p>The experts say that strength training is essential, Squats, which work the quadriceps, hamstrings, and gluteals,( the fleshy part of the buttocks) are an excellent example. Strength Training is a kind of activity that stretches your whole body gently. It includes every thing that gets you moving and maintains your physical fitness and overall health benefit.Weight lifting  and using a stretchy band are examples of strength training exercises.</p>
<p>Cardiovascular exercises involve the basic functioning of important organs like the lungs, heart and the cardiovascular system. The exercises should be only  performed under the guidance of experts so that target heart rate zone is monitored or recorded during exercise to keep within accurate and safe limits. Cardiovascular (or cardio) exercise has numbers of  health benefits, such as; burning calories and lowering your body fat, it will strengthen the heart and lungs. Cardio exercise is an activity that you will do at a moderate pace for a minimum of 20 minutes, building up to around 45 minutes or higher. Make sure to always begin at a slow pace for about 5 or 10 minutes because this allows your body to warm up and decreases the risk of any injury.</p>
<p>Low GI foods are better for your health. As a general rule you want longer lasting energy, and less spikes in your blood sugar. Low GI foods are slowly digested and absorbed and provide a flatter, sustained release of glucose into the blood stream. Low GI foods are digested and absorbed slowly and therefore have a small effect on the blood glucose levels. The pancreas does not overproduce insulin and your body?s sugar levels don?t fluctuate wildly ? keeping illnesses like diabetes and hypoglycemia under control</p>
<p>Low GI foods are better before and during exercise sessions. Low GI foods are foods that are digested slowly, leading to a steady slow release of energy into the body, leaving a person feeling nourished for longer. Low GI foods are whole foods that have a score of 55 or less, and include wholegrain bread, basmati rice, oats, and legumes.</p>
