Exercise using both cardio and strength routines. Cardio will help burn calories but strength training can also be helpful for increasing metabolism because an higher muscle composition results in a faster metabolism. Your metabolism is also given a boost for several hours after strength training.
Another factor that affects your metabolism is stress. When you are stressed your metabolism released cortisol which can cause your metabolism to slow down. If you are feeling stressed remember to take deep breaths and try to calm yourself down. Boosting your metabolism will greatly help you to lose weight and burn calories all day long.
