Alopecia is a readily observable condition and may prompt some to hide behind a hat or scarf. Alopecia can stem from a multitude of things. You can find remedies on the internet and in drugstores, but alternative treatments like using an alopecia aromatherapy recipe could be useful.

Several factors including hormonal problems, improper diet, grooming, and stress can affect hair growth. These conditions, when not resulting in alopecia, are often treated with essential oils used in aromatherapy. Therefore, it stands to reason that an alopecia aromatherapy recipe could be created to directly combat the result of the stress, hormone imbalance or lack of proper nutrition.

An alopecia aromatherapy recipe is one made from essential oils, which have been used for millennia to treat common ailments, and for that reason it is gaining many believers. Because chamomile, clary sage, and ylang ylang can lower your stress levels, it’s only natural that they can lower your hair loss, as well. Due to the calming effects of thyme and rosemary, they tend to do well in an alopecia aromatherapy recipe, especially for those who experience hormone imbalances.

When it is time to mix up your alopecia aromatherapy recipe, you cannot use any essential oils directly onto your scalp. It is better to mix them with carrier oil as most essential oils should not be used straight onto skin. A few carrier oils that would work wonders with any essential oils are coconut oil, almond oil or even olive oil.

If you mix an alopecia aromatherapy recipe for alopecia in a squeeze bottle or spray container then it can also be used as the applicator. This allows for less mess as well as a way to apply the aromatherapy treatment directly onto the scalp without making a mess. You may stain clothing and some surfaces, if you’re not careful, when mixing and applying essential oils.

Starting with a your bottle dispenser, pour about two ounces of the carrier oil of your choice along with 5 drops of ylang ylang, thyme and rosemary. Use only 2 droplets of lavendar, thyme, chamomile, cedar wood and clay sage, and you will have all that is required for your alopecia aromatherapy recipe. You should take care to blend the oils effectively as well as do an allergic reaction test on a small area of your skin.

The best way to use your alopecia aromatherapy recipe is to massage a few drops onto your scalp which will likely stimulate the hair roots and hopefully kick start new hair growth. It is recommended that you study essential oils and their healing properties in order to find what will work for your situation.
