raw food diet appears to be a throwback to the early days of our civilization when just about everyone had a garden. Now this plan is similar to a vegetarian diet because most of foods come from plants. It’s well-known that raw foods are believed to contain nutrients that are great for the body and blood that are lost in the canning and preservation process.

The Raw Foods diet emphasizes eating foods in their purest form. Fruits, most vegetables, nuts, and other grains can be eaten without any cooking done to them. Most meals in this diet consist of salads – even at breakfast. Salad dressing can be simple like oil and vinegar or lemon juice.

The amount of carbs consumed in this diet is minimal. Processed foods like pastas, breads and rice are completely eliminated. The only real source of carbs in this diet come from vegetables. A happy circumstance in this case is that it takes a large quantity of vegetables before the carbohydrate level adds up.

Did you know that 4 out of 5 people will suffer from back pain? That is 80% of the population. Our backs take a beating and pain and discomfort is the result. Of the 4 people only half will actually seek treatment. The other half will live with the discomfort. If that half only knew that Hawaiian massage therapy is a great way to get relief, they might be more tempted to actually get help.

Hawaiian Lomi massage means “Loving Hands” to represent working gently, yet deeply to relieve those problem areas. The Lomi Lomi massage is a holistic massage used throughout the entire body, but it is particularly effective up and down the spine. The Lomi Lomi massage originated with the ancient Polynesians and then was further developed by the master healers of Hawaii.

These ancient practitioners saw the total energy flow through the body. They say that energy flow was sometimes hindered in certain regions, yet flowed in others. In time a holistic approach to healing and well being was developed. But specifically what they found was areas of energy blockage could be manipulated. With the development of different massage techniques, the energy flow of the body could be restored. This restoration brought back balance to the body.

What we eat greatly affects our health. However, how much we eat is just as important as what we eat. A dirty colon has been connected with various health conditions. And the stresses, air pollution, and junk foods of the modern day aren’t helping either. This is probably why we need to be more careful these days of what we eat, and when we eat. Cleansing the colon naturally with a good diet is just one great way in counteracting the effects of a dirty colon.

Lots of food we consume these days cause mucosal plaque accumulation. We now consume more and more processed foods rather than veggies and fresh fruit, which contain the natural fibers and nutrients our bodies need. Our digestive system basically functions on natural fibers that naturally sweeps out wastes and toxins that make you sick, literally. When we do not consume the right foods there will likely be an accumulation of mucosal plaque in your colon . Mucosal plaque is basically not good for your health at all. So we need to counteract this build-up with a healthy diet.
