There are many different causes of ovarian cysts. Under the normal menstrual cycle, ovaries grow cyst-like structures called follicles each month. These follicles produce hormones necessary for pregnancy such as estrogen and progesterone. Ovarian cysts can form when a normal follicle continues to grow for an abnormal period of time.

Follicular cysts are the most common type of cysts. They are usually harmless, rarely cause any symptoms and usually disappear on their own. Normal causes of ovarian cysts affecting the follicles take place when the pituitary gland releases hormones to trigger the release of an egg which in fact does not occur. Instead, the follicle continues to grow and develops into a cyst.

Frequent causes of ovarian cysts occur when luteinizing hormones surge and an egg is release. When the egg is released, estrogen and progesterone are created by the ruptured follicle to prepare for the hypothetical conception. When the egg is sealed off, fluid accumulates inside the follicle and becomes what is called a corpus luteum. The corpus luteum will then expand and at that point becomes a cyst.

Do you wish you could defy time and enoy the pleasure of looking young forever? I am sure everyone would jump at this opportunity if it is available. Well, the good news is it is definitely possible. Looking youthful is possible by just giving extra care for yourself and emphasizing your features. If this sounds good to you, read on and find out how as I will share some easy steps that you can follow.

Smoking has a detrimental effect on the skin and this was observed since the early 1800′s. This effect is even more evident among chronic smokers. Among the effects are premature lines and folds stemming from the corner of the eyes to the zygomatic area. Although you will experince this as you age, smoking speeds up the process and causes your skin to have a dry and leathery appearance.

These changes are brought about by the processes that a cigar’s ingredients bring about to the body. Nicotine, a vasoconstrictor (one that constricts the blood vessels), inhibit the smooth and easy flow of oxygen and nutrients to their destination. Nicotine also causes a diuretic effect on the body which causes a reduction of the skin’s moisture level, hereby making it tough and dry.

A severe acid reflux condition can in turn lead to worse medical complications. One of the most concerning aspects of GERD as it is known (gastroesophageal reflux disease) is that it is chronic and will come back to haunt many people after the first time that they suffer from it.

So what really is acid reflux disease and what are its causes? What are the different complications of serious acid reflex that then lead to the situation worsening?

To complicate things even further, a patient suffering from serious acid reflex problems may not always realize it and more investigation is necessary in this case. When gastric matter gets shoved back into esophageal cavity, the medical term for this is gastroesophageal reflux disease. This stomach content is a mixture of different things including pepsin and bile. It attacks the esophageal lining cells and burns them. This is the main reason for heartburn, often the primary symptom of advanced acid reflux illness. This can then lead to grave acid reflux problems.

The sauna has been cherished by man since ancient times, and is still loved today. What is it that makes the sauna such a timeless pleasure?

Saunas are designed to provide either moist or dry heat. A bather, or group of bathers, can gather inside of a sauna to experience temperatures as high as 80 degrees Celsius or more. Saunas are very relaxing, and tend to make users sweat. If water is poured on the hot stones, steam is produced which makes the sauna moist. The sauna is loved not only for it’s relaxing properties, but also for improving the immune system and helping detoxify the body.

“Sauna” is world that developed in ancient Finland and means a traditional Finnish bath. The earliest saunas were dug in slopes in the ground and used by the Finns to keep warm during the cold winter months. Stones were heated to very high temperatures and water was poured over them in order to create heat and moisture in the form of steam. Because of the extreme heat, individuals would remove their clothes for comfort.

Normally, approximately 2.5 litres of water is required daily for a fairly sedentary adult in a normal environment to replace the total loss of water that occurs though urine, faeces, skin and lungs.

To replace the water loss about 1 to 1.2 litres needs to be in drinks, (mainly water or cold herbal teas), 0.9 ml is taken though food and 0.3ml will be made by the body (oxidative metabolism).

Problems that arise from not drinking enough water is as follows.

1. Increase in pulse rate and in rectal temperature

2. Respiration rate goes up

3. Tingling and numbness of fingers and feet

4. Blood concentration increases

5. Diminution of blood volume and more difficult circulation

The difficulty and inadequacy of the circulation of blood under these conditions leads to:

1. breathing difficulties

2. gastrointestinal upsets

3. nauseousness and loss of appetite

4. if it continues, muscular and emotional problems

In an animal trial, restricted water intake led to irritablitiy and in some cases, bad temper.
