Numerous “fad” or innovative diets are currently on the market, one being the Apple Patch Diet. Unlike diets that involve pills, sprays, or supplements, this particular diet uses a special type of patch. For weight loss, this new way of dropping unwanted pounds has no serious side effects.
Most diet aids on the market have some type of side effect to include nausea and indigestion. However, unlike most supplements and diet pills, the Apple Patch Diet has few, if any. The ingredients include a pumpkin extract called Garcinia Cambogia, Guarana Extra that comes from a South African shrub, and brown seaweed known as Fucus Vesiculosus.
Tons of research has been done on these three ingredients, each showing significant benefits. However, the primary benefit is healthy and quick loss. For an obesity diet, many doctors are now suggesting the Apple Patch Diet to patients.
With the Apple Patch Diet, a person feels less hungry and the body’s metabolism increases. This means the nagging sense of needing to snack throughout the day is gone. With it being a safe and effective way to lose weight, people are getting very excited about this diet.

While there is no cure for psoriasis, there are several treatments available that will help to control your psoriasis. These include both doctor-prescribed treatments and at-home remedies.
Using a topical cream or ointment is the first way to control your psoriasis. Many of these are available over-the-counter, but check with your doctor to see if a prescription ointment would be better for your condition. Topical treatments may include tar, anthralin, dovonex, and salicyclic acid.
Your doctor might prescribe corticosteroids to control your psoriasis. These are anti-inflammatory and help to reduce swelling. Discuss with your doctor the proper way to apply these.
If you have an extensive case of psoriasis, you and your doctor might choose to control your psoriasis with ultraviolet light therapy, also known as phototherapy. Phototherapy entails your skin being exposed to ultraviolet light B.
A healthy diet that includes plenty of fresh vegetables can help control your psoriasis. This diet should be low in dairy and meat and include supplementation of the Essential Fatty Acids found in flax seed oil or fish oil.

In times of chronic back pain one considers that “Do Ulcers Cause back Pain?” A simple answer to this anxious thought is ‘yes’, a peptic ulcer is a probable cause of back pain.
An ulcer is a term that defines an open sore, lesion or break in the skin or in a mucous membrane. The thin tissue that covers the inner surface of body openings like the lining of the stomach and intestines is a mucous membrane. However when people generally refer to ulcers, they usually mean the peptic ulcer that occurs in the upper digestive system. The digestive system is made up of the esophagus, stomach, duodenum and intestines. Ulcers that occur in the stomach are referred to as gastric ulcers, and likewise there are duodenal ulcers and esophageal ulcers. 80% of peptic ulcers are Duodenal ulcers.
There are many symptoms of ulcers. The most common sign of ulcers is an intermittent and irritating pain in the stomach this pain also transfers to other areas such as the shoulder blades, back, indigestion, heartburn, gas, bloating, appetite loss and nausea. A few well known symptoms of ulcers are back pain, headache, itching and choking sensation.

Thinning and brittle bones give rise to fractures. This affects a third of women and one out of every twelve men. It is a major cause of death.
Bone mass reaches a peak at about the age of 35. After that it declines, especially for women who have 10 % – 15% less bone mass than men at skeletal maturity. There is then an accelerated loss of bone for up to a decade around the menopause when there is a decline in hormone levels. The answer is not Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). This increases the risk of heart attack, strokes, blood clots and cancer.
The Problem With Calcium
Calcium is of course important. However osteoporosis is not a deficiency disease caused by a lack of calcium. It is not recommended to take calcium supplements on their own. There is no certainty that the calcium will end up in the bones. It could find its way into tissues instead. This may create its own health problems. Vitamin D certainly improves the absorption of calcium, but calcium has important synergistic relationships with a range of other minerals.

Calcium Can Cause Problems If Taken Alone
Calcium is important. But osteoporosis is not disease caused by calcium deficiency. Just taking calcium supplements is not the answer. There is no guarantee is will be absorbed into the bone. It could remain in the blood and be delivered to non bone tissues where it may create its own problems. Vitamin D improves the absorption of calcium but it is also works in synergy with other minerals.

Most articles on health assume we are all the same. This isn’t true. We are as different on the inside as the outside. Yet we are told universally to eat lots of fruits and vegetables and avoid the dreaded fat.
Fat is blamed for everything. Heart disease. Cancer. Overweight. Rising petrol prices. You name it. Instead we should switch to carbohydrates – fruit, veg, grains etc.
Fat Is A Good Guy
Let me inform you of a doctor approved diet for certain types of children. 90% of the calorie intake of the diet is made up of fat. Yet these kids are normal in weight and their cholesterol levels are only slightly higher than ideal. These children are afflicted with epilepsy. The diet helps to control their seizures.
The children might eat a meal consisting of chicken and carrots with butter and double cream. Not exactly your standard fare, but for the children and their families, it’s what they require.
What, you’re not convinced? It’s a special case you’re thinking. It doesn’t apply to the general population. For the rest of us, fats are bad, vegetables and fruits are good.
