One of the most successful areas of health and beauty is Anti-ageing skin care products which is not surprising because we are all living longer and fuller lives so why shouldn’t we want to look younger? The skin care industry uses beauty products that increase the synthesis of the protein collagen, the main protein in skin which becomes less elastic as we age; collagen is so abundant, it makes up about a quarter of the total protein content of structural protein found in skin. This area of anti-ageing treatments is connected to another group of products that help people to look young; known as antioxidants, they are the body’s method of slowing down the ageing process.

Probably the best known of these anti-oxidants is vitamin C although no-one really knows just how much we should have each day. The problem with vitamin C derived skin care treatments is they can become oxidized when exposed to the atmosphere, often even before they are used.

More stable skin care treatments are now available that are almost as efficient and actually cost less to manufacture. These alternative products are not as effective as vitamin C but vitamin E and lipoic acid are anti-oxidants and are now being used.

Researches in recent years have proven that putting healthy oxygen into the body extremely helps in promoting good health.

The body gets weak when there is lack of oxygen, which makes diseases and other ailments breed inside.

My specific exercise program will cure illnesses, diseases, and other complaints from the body by teaching you how to put healthy oxygen into your body.

Oxygen has recently been proven to help in weight reduction.

More effort is put into our breathing as we get older.

As the muscles accountable for our breathing becomes tense and weak, it can have a stunning effect on our body.

The muscles in charge of running our diaphragm becomes more stressed as we grow older. This is so because they are used to balance our bodies as well.

As the diaphragm becomes tenser, making it not function properly any longer, it affects our breathing in a negative way.

Regrettably, what this does is it makes our metabolism slow down, which makes it more difficult to reduce weight as time goes by.

One of the more bothersome issues we deal with in our teenage years, is concerns about our complexions. You probably should know what I’m talking about. The age old, yet never appreciated affliction known as acne. For some bizarre reason we appear to be the only species that’s affected by it.

At this point, you get to choose a type of treatment for your skin problem. Some people wish to use the older passed down home remedy approach, while others are looking for the very latest in skin care with its promises of a rapid fix.

How do you compare one product or system against another? On the natural side, you should speak with your friends, brothers, sisters or anyone who had acne issues in the last year or two, for their recommendation. For the commercial products, read the ads, sales pages, and endorsements to make an informed decision as to the best solution for your situation.

If it doesn’t work, you are able to move on to the next treatment without much out of pocket expense at all. In addition to the savings in cost, natural acne treatments can also be less detrimental to the skin than their over the counter counterparts.

As fresh clean water is vital to our survival it is necessary for us to drink a minimum of 64 fl oz each and every day. With some parts of our bodies being as much as 90% water (such as the liver) the lack of clean water can very quickly cause severe damage. Nearly all drinking water supplies need to be treated before being pumped into the home. Huge industrial water filters remove huge amounts of organic matter and other processes ensure our drinking water is safe to drink. Or is it?

Although most of the planet is covered in water there are also desert or arid places where there is hardly any water. People living in such places are far too often forced to drink poor quality water because of the scarcity of water and the lack of water filters. Many of the world’s charities have, for decades, been working to supply the technology to give these areas adequate fresh clean water supplies.

Everyone knows the benefits of eating healthy, they range from reducing your risks for diseases to helping you extend and improve your quality of life. Every day it seems like a new study comes out that contradicts an old study. Here’s a look at the 10 healthiest foods that have stood the test of time.

1. 8 grams of fat in a portion of avocado seems like a lot but it’s an unsaturated fat. The avocado is a good fat that helps increase good cholesterol and sits at the top of the recommended good fat list.

2. Broccoli has 3 grams of fiber per cup and is full of beta-carotene. Vitamin C is abundant in broccoli which should not be overcooked to keep it’s nutritional value.

3. Cranberries – The popular Thanksgiving staple helps keep harmful bacteria from causing bladder infections. While the juice is packed full of sugar to take away the tart taste, a cranberry supplement is available at your local health food store.
